Senators and members of the United States propose proposals to support

China's Cultural Festival

  According to Xinhua News Agency held an unprecedented China cultural festival in Washington Conference co chairman of the United States Senator Feinstein and the United States House of Representatives Kirk Larson, and U.S. - China working group members respectively in September 30th and October 7th in the house and Senate proposed Senate joint resolution, expressed appreciation for the China in the field of culture and art of human beings the contribution of Chinese, the Ministry of culture and the Kennedy center jointly organized China Cultural Festival support.

The month long Chinese Cultural Festival is not only the largest cultural festival held in the history of Kennedy center, but also the largest Chinese Performing Arts Festival in the history of the United states".
  The resolution said that the activities such as the China Cultural Festival, as well as efforts by the United States and China to promote education and scientific and technological cooperation, have deepened mutual understanding between the two countries. The exchange activities and other forms of contacts between the two governments and non-governmental organizations are conducive to the sound development of bilateral relations. Cultural activities such as the Chinese Cultural Festival will help to strengthen diplomatic, economic and trade and political cooperation between the United States and china.
  The resolution emphasizes that the Kennedy center and the Chinese Ministry of culture should be commended for carrying forward the achievements of Chinese art through organizing Chinese cultural festivals. China and the United States should be encouraged to make further efforts to promote mutual understanding between the two countries on the basis of the Chinese cultural festival.
  The resolution said that the United States and China should work together to further promote cooperation between the two countries in culture, science and technology and education. The United States and China should continue to promote such exchanges as China's cultural festivals, which will serve as a vital means of enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation between the Chinese and American peoples.
  The house and Senate resolution was first proposed by Senator Feinstein, a Democrat from California, in September 30th. The interim president Stevens and Democratic Senator Inoue Kenzawa from the Hawaii state Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman of the Asia Pacific Committee Murkowski and other senators signed the case. In October 7th, the U.S. - China Working Group Co chairman Kirk and Larsen again in the house of Representatives proposed the Senate joint resolution, the House International Relations Committee Chairman of the Asia Pacific Committee Ricci, Democrat from Washington, Congressman dicks and Adam Smith, a Republican from Kentucky congressman Jeff Davis and Congressman joint.
