In order to further serve Chinese enterprises, on July 18, 2019, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Los Angeles organized a special seminar on consular protection and credentials for Chinese enterprises in Southern California. Nearly 40 enterprise representatives attended. The business counselor Liu Haiyan presided over the lecture, and the consuls in charge of the Consular Office and the Documents Office introduced the relevant requirements and work of consular protection and assistance, and the handling of consular documents.

Deputy Consul General Dai Shuangming attended and spoke. He said that the Chinese government attaches great importance to the safety of major overseas projects and personnel, and consular protection and assistance work is to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens and legal persons overseas. He focused on explaining the legal operation of enterprises, risk prevention and disposal, and interacted with representatives of the conference on insurance and certification issues.
